Demos PIRA physicslearning.colorado.edu Physics Learning Lab The site is hosted at U. Colorado The site has descriptions and drawings of demos. The demos are grouped by topics. This is a portal for physics education. This site is a search engine for university physics lecture demonstration websites. If you click on the "Spider" link you can search all 56 sites or select the university site you wish to search. Some sites have online videos of the demonstrations.

Nuclide Data LBL Use the link to the Periodic Chart to easily obtain the data
Nuclide Data BNL nndc.bnl.gov; I would suggest that you click on the decay mode button on the right side of the window. I found the view of the whole chart more informative than information on one particular nuclide. You can click on an isotope box more easily if you zoom to level 2. Then click on the arrows around the zoom list to move along the graph of the nuclides.

Nuclide Table atom.kaeri.re.kr; This site provides data on nuclides. You can enter the chemical symbol and atomic mass number or click on the isotope on the graph. Some of the data includes the mass of the neutral atom in amu's, the binding energy, decay modes with energies and half lives.
Nuclide Chart wwwndc.tokai-sc.jaea.go.jp 2004 Chart of Nuclides. You can search for the element and mass number. Data includes half life, decay mode, decay energy, etc.
Radon Nebraska dhhs.ne.gov/publichealth/Pages/radon_2010data_averages.aspx; This site lists summaries (average radon level, highest result, etc.) of the tests for radon in Nebraska cities and counties. A map of county results is also available.
Three Mile Island PBS companion site to the video: 'Meltdown at Three Mile Island'; I highly recommend the video! I found it to be accurate and very well put together with a great deal of film shot during the accident. This site has some information on nuclear reactors and the details of the accident.

Millikan Oil Drop Good webphysics.davidson.edu; This site allows the user to change the voltage between the fixed plates, apply radiation, and measure the time required to move a known distance.
Millikan Oil Drop Simplified phy.ntnu.edu.tw; This site lets the user select the voltage, change the charge (1 to 5 electrons, set randomly), and change the drop (size is random). The applet calculates Q based on the voltage, the terminal velocity in free fall, and terminal velocity when the E field is applied. Note, that as of January, 2008 the formula on the page is wrong. The velocity down should be under the square root, not the velocity moving up. Q is calculated correctly.

You can view the demonstrations easily in a browser. Or, you can download interactive modules, but will also need to download a free Mathematica player to use them.

LivePhoto RIT livephoto.rit.edu These short video clips are interactive. The user can collect data off of the vidoe clips. I prefered the .swf (Flash) files.
Mechanical Universe learner.org; Annenberg Media; This site allows you to watch the Mechanical Universe videos if you have a broadband connection. The videos were produced by the California Institute of Technology and Intelecom. 1985. You will have to register (free) before you can watch the videos.
